Yan Gu, MD

Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

Education & Medical Training
Dr. Gu earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Southeast University in Nanjing, China, where she also began a residency in Otolaryngology. She later received a Master of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University and completed a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. She trained in pathology and laboratory medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and UT Health Science Center in Houston, where she served as Chief Resident. 

Professional Experience
Dr. Gu went on to complete a Surgical Pathology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. Dr. Gu joined Brown Pathology as an Associate in 2005 and brings a strong research and clinical background to her diagnostic work.
