Education & Medical Training
A native of Houston, Dr. Bernier graduated with honors in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her medical degree from UT-Houston Medical School. She completed an Internal Medicine internship in 2002, followed by a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, becoming board certified in 2006.

Professional Experience
In 2007, Dr. Bernier completed a Surgical Pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Fellow. She went on to practice general pathology in Augusta, Georgia, and Clarksville, Tennessee. From 2011 to 2018, she worked as a staff pathologist for a gastroenterology group in Virginia Beach.

Dr. Bernier joined Brown Pathology in 2018. She is married to Dr. Joseph Bernier-Rodriguez, an endodontist in Bellaire, Texas, and is the proud mother of three children.
