Heidi L. Evans, PhD, MD

Education & Medical Training
Dr. Evans earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and a PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University. After working as a research scientist at NASA and teaching math and science, she went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Iowa in 2014. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2018, serving as Chief Resident, followed by a Cytopathology fellowship in 2019. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology.

Professional Experience
Before entering medicine, Dr. Evans worked in both research and education, bringing a diverse scientific background to her clinical work.

Dr. Evans joined Brown Pathology in 2019.
