Edward T. Kott, MD

Education & Medical Training
A native of San Antonio, Dr. Kott completed his undergraduate studies at San Antonio College and Saint Mary’s University before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston in 1975. He completed a combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency at UT Medical School (Hermann Hospital) and a fellowship in anatomic pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center as an American Cancer Society Fellow. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology (1980) and cytopathology (1990).

Professional Experience
Dr. Kott joined Brown Pathology in 1980 and became a partner in 1983. He has served as Medical Director at Columbia HCA North Houston Medical Center for 17 years and held staff pathologist roles at Park Plaza Hospital. From 2003 to 2005, he served as Medical Director of the Laboratory Corporation of America’s Houston Regional Laboratory.
